ABOUT THE BOOK : The author’s chief concern in the book has been to analyse the nature of religious belief with a view to understanding its true nature. For this he has adopted the method of language-analysis, i.e., the method of the analysis of concepts and statements related to God=belief., Recent analyses of God-features of these statements at the cost of the other: (1) God-statement are asserted as factual statements. (2) they are asserted with a sense of total commitment such that they would not be falsifiable in any conceivable situation. With a view to doing ample justice to both these features. The author has thought it most justified to take God-statements as expressions of a very strong total impression of the religious man with regard to the universe as a whole.
