ABOUT THE AUTHOR : Moriz Winternitz (1863-1937) was an Austrian Orientalist and Indologist, best known for his monumental History of Indian Literature. He significantly contributed to the field of Indology through his research, teaching, and publications, particularly in the areas of Vedic literature, the Epics, and Buddhist and Jaina literature.
